-

Patients on repeat prescriptions can order their medication in the following ways:

  • Paper Slips - By ticking against the required medication printout that accompanies the prescriptions.

    • This can either be delivered to the surgery by hand or by post.

  • Telephone requests - taken on the dedicated line (01938 811048)

    • You can leave your request on the dedicated answer machine.

  • Electronically - via My Health Online

    • Please see the information here about how to sign up for this service.

-

Most prescriptions can be dispensed from the practice but if you live within one mile of a chemist you have to collect your medicines from there.

Please allow 3 working days for the prescription to be processed and try to pick up the medication before 5pm.

Remember if you order after 4pm on a Friday the medication will not be ready for collection until the following Wednesday.

-

All acute or URGENT medication will be dispensed as soon as possible.

-

If you obtain your repeat medication from a chemist, please allow up to 5 days for the prescription to be received and processed by the chemist.

Please note that Boots and Rowlands collect prescriptions on a Tuesday and Thursday.

-

Please be patient if your medication isn't always ready for you.

We dispense between 8000 and 10000 items per month (400 - 500 per working day) and it is sometimes difficult to manage the workload, especially during Bank Holiday periods.

** New Patients **

We need your repeat medication slip from your previous GP.

If you haven't got one please ask your previous GP to fax a copy of your medication to 01938 810955

-

-

** Medication Wasting **

-

Please try to order all of your medication ONCE a month.

-

Please don't order medication which you DO NOT need.

The doctors would rather know if you are not taking all the medication you are prescribed.

-

DO NOT WASTE MEDICATION – once it has been given out we cannot reuse it, even if you return it.
